How to volunteer as a tutor

Updated: Sep 1, 2020

Hello Awesome Tutors! We hope that you all are safe and healthy. This message is to provide you with details for the 2020-2021 school year. This year our program will enter the digital world and provide tutoring using an online format. If you tutored with us in the second half of Spring semester, you are already familiar with our online system. If not, no worries! Here's what you need to know:

  • Fall semester will begin on September 12, 2020 and end on November 14, 2020.

  • The spring semester schedule will be released at a later date.

  • Tutoring sessions will take place on Saturdays from 9am-1pm.

  • After each session we are asking that you complete an online "green sheet" before you end your session. This sheet is used to keep track of what topics you covered with your scholar and whether additional support is needed in that area.

  • You will have flexibility by choosing what dates & times work best for you.

  • Zoom will be our online platform. For those who are not familiar with the platform, here is a link to Zoom tutorials: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/206618765-Zoom-video-tutorials

  • If you are interested in tutoring this year, please complete the following registration form:

In addition to registration, this year we are asking all tutors and families to review a short orientation video. Here is the link for the orientation video:

In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us by email (saturdaytutoring@gmail.com) or call or text at 216-505-0885. We can't wait to see all of you...online of course! Stay safe & healthy, -Brittney & Rafael
