Big News: Saturday Tutoring Is Growing!

The Church of the Covenant and the Saturday Tutoring Program are thrilled to announce that we are extending our tutoring season to support our elementary school students through the end of the school year. â€‹We know how critical these final weeks are for academic growth, so we’ve teamed up with Coach Sam’s Scholars to provide extended programming from April 18th through May 16th.

Expanding Our Impact

While our regular school year sessions thrive on 1-to-1 mentorship with talented tutors from Case Western Reserve, John Carroll, the Cleveland Institute of Art, and the Cleveland Institute of Music, this special extension will utilize a dynamic 1-to-5 small group model. This programming is specifically offered as a reward and resource for our dedicated students who have shown consistent attendance throughout the year.

Literacy & Growth

For our 1st through 5th graders, we are diving deep into the essentials of reading and language. Our sessions will focus on:

  • Phonological awareness and word recognition

  • Reading fluency and vocabulary development

  • Critical comprehension skills

More Than Tutoring

It’s not all hard work! In addition to tutoring, every student will receive a healthy snack and participate in an engaging enrichment activity to keep the energy high and the learning fun.

Details for Parents:

  • Arrival: Students should report between 9:30–9:45 a.m.

  • Dismissal: Sessions conclude promptly at 11:55 a.m.

We are so proud of our students' commitment this year and can’t wait to finish the school year strong together!

Finish The Year Strong With Math Tutoring

We are also excited to announce that math tutoring will continue through May 16th for our middle and high school students.

Consistency is the key to mastering mathematics, and we want to ensure our students have the support they need to excel in their final projects and year-end exams. The extended programming is exclusively available to students who have been dedicated participants in our program throughout the regular school year.

Personalized Support

Our math students will continue to benefit from the 1-to-1 tutoring model they’ve come to rely on. This personalized attention allows for deep dives into complex concepts, tailored problem-solving, and individualized academic coaching.

Expert Guidance

We are so fortunate to have this extended programming led by Andrew Edwards, a Ph.D. in Mathematics and a valued member of the Church of the Covenant. Under his expert guidance, students have the unique opportunity to learn from a high-level mathematician who is passionate about helping the next generation succeed.

We look forward to seeing our students continue their hard work as we wrap up a fantastic year of learning!
